This Peruvian alpaca effigy is a handmade nod to the ubiquitous companion navigating the Andes with ease. I suspect this item is vintage from the 70's or 80's and sold as a souvenir to visitors in the region. The hair is likely llama or alpaca fur, and the face appears to be molded leather with expressive stitched details. Preowned, this item is in very good condition with no evidence of wear or aging issues. With little blue knitted balls for regional flair, this sweet 8.5" figure deserves a home on the top shelf.
