Vintage Peruvian Hand Made Folk Art Terracotta Ceramic Mission Church with Figure - 6.5" Tall
Being offered for your consideration is this vintage Peruvian handmade folk art ceramic sculpture of a mission church. This adorable little sculpture features a single figure standing at the arched doorway and bells hanging at the top openings. There is a clock (?) at the top above the doorway and a cross above that. Architectural features are highlighted in a dark and lighter brown color. The sides and back are not decorated except for the light brown features of the building. There is a small bit of discoloration on the backside, lower left. It may be a firing fault that caused the discoloration, but it is permanent. The piece has a little wobble caused during the firing, but a piece of felt padding should correct the wobbling if desired.
We think all of this adds to the vintage charm of the whole piece!

: The terracotta mission church stands approximately 6-1/2" in height. It measures approximately 4" wide x 3" deep. It weighs approximately 15.6 ounces. All measurements are approximate, but close.
Condition
: We carefully examined this item. NO Chips, Cracks, Scratches, Repairs or Restorations were noted. As mentioned in the description, there is some staining on the back, lower left side. We are not certain if it was in the making during firing or if it came afterwards, however, it appears permanent and thus adding to the primitive charm of the piece.
