Pre-columbian Nazca Basket. The Nazca culture lived on the southern coast of Peru between C 100 and AD 800. This basket measures approximately 10 in in length and 7 1/2 in in width. It has been woven out of a type of Reed like material with geometric designs of light and dark. The reeds are held together by some form of handspun cord or string. The basket is pristine and condition and is of museum quality. This basket was made by the culture who created the same Nazca lines in Peru and the basket dates to slightly over 2,000 years old.
