    Description

    Fine terra cotta human effigy! Artifact appears to have been an ancient bottle stopper or even the head of a doll.  Fashioned similar to a head that could have been attached to a perishable material  and used as a ceremonial doll or idol.  Very interesting artifact was purchased from an estate in Reserve, New Mexico and is reminiscent of artifacts recovered from the Casa Grande of Paquime site.  Artifact measures approx 1”6/16 X 2”5/16.  Exceptional example of  ancient Latin American life ways!
