    Description

Offered here is a vintage glass astray. The bottom reads: "Everything...you need in LUMBER and BUILDING SUPPLIES...ROCKWELL BROS. & CO. LUMBERMAN...Phone 76 or 373...HAMLIN, TEXAS." (Note to 2 & 3 digit phone numbers.) I looked around on the internet and found some newspaper ads from this Hamlin, TX. company, founded by James Morton Rockwell. The earliest mention I saw was in 1913. The most recent was in 1969. Given the phone numbers listed, I would "GUESS" that this is from the 1940's - give or take. It measures 4 & 1/4 inches long by 3 inches wide. The condition is VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT. It has no chips or cracks. It has only minor wear, and still displays beautifully. It is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
