Vtg Peruvian Chulacanas Dancing Chubby Lady Pottery Signed Figure. Vintage Chulacanas woman holding her dress up as she dances. She is signed at the bottom looks to me like it reads RANICK. She is made with the indigenous art pottery process known to the Chulacanas area. Pottery is placed in a handmade artisanal wood oven where mango leaves have been prepared  in temperature of 700 to 900 c° approx. Liquid slip is used to cover area that are not wished to be darkened. Where color is to be retained. It goes thru this process til desired darkness is achieved. Pottery is hand burnished at least twice with river stones til desired smoothness is achieved. Liquid slip is removed and piece is cleaned. Each piece is unique and completely hand made. She does have 2 areas on dress edge which have chipped. Please see last 3 photos. Measures 5"L ×4 3/4" H  she has 3 small felt pads placed on bottom to protect furniture. Condition is "Used".
