This lovely carved half-gourd reads in Spanish “TU Y YO - SEREMOS FELICES” translated as “You and I - We Will Be Happy”, a beautiful sentiment for an anniversary or first home.
It was traded for with the indigenous artisan in the Peruvian Amazon while on a medical mission trip to a town accessible only by small boat and long hike overland.
